Annual Compliance Training

On January 3, 2024, University of Utah employees received emails from Bridge (notifications@utah.bridgeapp.com), the official platform for the University of Utah's Learning Management System. The emails are legitimate and contain links to annual mandatory compliance trainings as required by law.

Employees are required to complete the following three training courses prior to April 30, 2024.

  • Respectful Culture at the University (Abusive Conduct): Required by Utah Law, this training is mandated for all employees within the Utah System of Higher Education and is focused on abusive conduct and the corresponding policy for addressing and resolving reports.
  • Addressing Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct on Campus (Appropriate Work Conduct): Aligned with guidance from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), this training addresses the rights and responsibilities of employees in preventing and addressing discrimination and sexual misconduct. Additional details can be found here.
  • Firearms at the University of Utah Annual Training: Originally launched in 2019 and now updated, this training focuses on reporting weapons or potential threats on campus. Mandatory for staff and faculty, it is also accessible to students here.
